I think Fortnite was actually good. But they went to a path nobody likes, only the 10-14 yrs olds. I downloaded it recently just to play it a litle. I played 20 minutes, then decided to not to play this game anymore.

Don't hate fortnite. It's a giant daycare for all the screaming kids we don't want in our games. Remember the old days when you had a screaming 12 year old in every CoD lobby? Nowadays those kids are playing fortnite. It's great. Just don't try to play fortnite and you are fine.

I played it when it was released. It was fun (LOTS of hackers though). You couldn't build a 20 ft story in 1 sec at that time so it was more shooting related and that made it more fun.

I found the game when it was in closed beta and at first thought the concept of building your own fort and defending it with your teammates kinda intrigued me. But then it turned out to be another Battle Royal and I lost interest

Fortnite isn't bad, but it suffers from what all battle royale style games do in that it is always the same map. So it gets boring fairly quick. Other than that it's decent. It isn't Earth shattering, but there aren't any game breaking bugs or things of that sort. It's a solid 6/10. Not bad, but very much average

I'll be honest here. Before they announced that BR mode, during the Alpha and Beta phases, I was invited to the game to test it, and the story mode was actually fun, looting and making a base and then defending it, I was really enjoying it, and when they said that the game was going to be free on 2018 summer, I thought, well then I wont spend my money on it and play the story mode when it goes free. And then the BR happened and all the cringe and kids... and still have to pay to play the story mode, so that was a lie.

I actually like Fortnite. NOT the batzel royal bullshit, the game what tjaw was, before everything went wrong... Fortnite save the Word, was a 4 player survuval/hirde/crafting game with different heroes and abilities. Than became this shit... This staple of cancer. My friends didn't even want to play it anymore, and we merged back to 7 Days ti die and MC. Wht a waste of money...

The original Fortnite really was a piece of dung. Really agressive monetization and repetitive grindy gameplay to 'encourage' people to spend money. Probably would have been cancelled (= not released) if some suit didn't come up with the idea to monetize it like a mobile game.

I remember it popping up on steam, I think it was going to be a survival crafting game, and they redid it from the ground up
